About Company Decalage:

Marso was commissioned by The Place, London for its bi-annual research and development project Choreodrome. The resulting work Appel was a trio for Marso, Navala Chaudhari, arguably one of the most compelling performers in the UK, and live musician Jason Kalidas that was inspired by the instinctiveness of dance and the spontaneity of music.

Appel was performed at British Dance Edition, Birmingham, UK earlier this year and since then has enjoyed performances in the UK as part of the Dance3 project (www.dance3.org <http://www.dance3.org> ), been seen on an extensive tour of the Czech Republic, 6 performances at the outdoor Urban Moves festival in Manchester UK, and has been booked for future touring of the UK, Spain, Slovenia amongst others.

Company Decalage captured the imagination and attention of a young audience after performing on  the main stage at Sadler’s Wells’ Breakin’ Convention 2009 and again when Marso performed his solo ‘Eteins Pas’ at the 2010 festival.
